Joshua Lem is an AANP board-certified nurse practitioner working with Dr. Ian Stine who specializes in sports medicine, trauma, and joint reconstruction. He graduated from the University of California Santa Barbara with a Bachelor of Science in environmental studies. He went on to graduate from Samuel Merritt University’s entry-level Masters of Science in Nursing program as a family nurse practitioner. While in school he was a part of the Sigma Theta Tau honors society of nursing. During his schooling, he mentored with two orthopedic surgeons who peaked his interest in sports medicine. After graduating in December of 2015, he worked for a year at Synergy Health and Urgent Care center in Pleasanton. He began working at Tri-Valley Orthopedic Specialists in January of 2017.
He is a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners and the California Association of Nurse Practitioners. Josh has participated in a medical mission where he was part of the team that provides the sole care to an isolated community in Batata, Panama. Active from a young age, he is an avid gym-goer and enjoys ultimate frisbee, rock climbing, biking, and SCUBA diving.
